Ms. Stafford’s practice includes advising businesses and litigating a wide variety of civil actions and administrative proceedings. Her main areas of litigation practice are defense of general liability and professional liability matters; defense of § 1983 claims; defense of administrative claims against employers; and general business litigation. She advises businesses regarding formation, leases, contracts, and employment issues. Her business practice focuses on small businesses, with a special interest in the salon/spa industry.
Ms. Stafford has successfully represented clients in courts throughout Virginia and the District of Columbia, before arbitration panels, before workers’ compensation agencies in Virginia and the District of Columbia, in administrative proceedings before the EEOC and the Virginia Employment Commission, and in administrative hearings before professional state licensing boards.
